Ladies Only West Coast
Styling Workshop with Jackie Hursey on Saturday, February 27th from
1-3:30pm
Get ready girls! Jackie Hursey will be back on
Saturday, February 27th, with her now famous "LADIES ONLY WEST COAST
SWING STYLING WORKSHOP". This will be your first 2010 opportunity, so
come on out and give yourself something to work on this Winter! Please
remember, you do not need to be an advanced West Coast Swing dancer to
attend these classes. You need only be proficient in your passes,
pushes and whips. If you can do these basic figures (without a lead),
you will get a lot out of the workshop.
We will begin at 1pm with level I. In this first hour Jackie will be
giving the easiest, (and probably the most popular) of all West Coast
Swing styling ideas for the gals. She will add a few new ones for
those that have attended her past workshops.
After a bit of practice time she will continue with Level II. In this
class Jackie will challenge the gals with fancy footwork and more
styling ideas.
Jackie has been giving these workshops at the studio for so many years
we've lost count, and the West Coast Swing dancing ladies LOVE them!
Those that attend the first class are encouraged to challenge
themselves by staying for the second class. If they do, they are
rewarded by receiving a discount on the cost of the second class.
Registration is $20 for one class, $30 for both. And yes, Lynn will
put her usual spread of goodies out for the gals.
Due to the overwhelming popularity of these classes, we are asking
that if you plan on attending, please RSVP early. Space is limited,
and these workshops always fill fast. Call Lynn at the studio
(206)542-5550 or e-mail her at
lynnoffutt@hotmail.com
to reserve your spot.
January 24th Dance to
Cure Cancer Huge Success!
This day of dance which included three workshops raised nearly $2,000
which was all donated to the Leukemia Lymphoma Society. How terrific
is that?
Instructors who donated their time for the workshops were Dave
Serfling, Terry West and Lynn Offutt. Terry west also donated his DJ
services and Jay donated the use of his studio for this special event.
A large crowd was in attendance for these very reasonably priced
workshops, and we hope you were among the many.
Thank you so very much for your support!

Show at the April 10th NW Dance Extravaganza.
